Monday, November 16, 2009 Somehow I find myself being a phone geek these days, fanatically reading phone reviews to decide my next phone. -.-'' But since I'm already at it, might as well provide a little insight to the phones that have been popping up in the industry, and maybe you'll find a bit of inspiration for your next phone from this post xD Alright, first up, would be one of the most popular phone producing company - Nokia. Nokia has recently revealed two new phones that go under the alias X - the Nokia X3 and X6. While both of them look similar, one is a touch phone (X6), while the other isn't. Both are coming to Singapore soon, and will most likely be released into the European market somewhere in Q4 of 2009. No reviews have been up for these two phones yet, but it is worth taking a look at the pictures (: Nokia X3: ![]() X6: ![]() Then we come to Sony Ericsson. In this case, we delve into the XPERIA series. You have seen the ugly X1, and the upcoming X2 doesn't seem to be any better. But the SE XPERIA X10 promises to be quite a treat, I'll just show you the photo without using much technicalities xD XPERIA X10: ![]() The last mega-producer will be Samsung, and then a little of the not-so-famous brands xD Alright, Samsung has two phones of interest (to me at least), and both are touch phones, one has a full-QWERTY keyboard to boot. They both work for people who are on a budget, but want a little class (hence the touch), yet it is meant for teenagers, who want to customise their phones (beats me. They said it.) Introducing, the CORBY (up in Singapore markets at $299 without contract), and the upcoming CORBYPro... CORBY: ![]() CORBYPro: ![]() So, as promised, one not-so-famous producer. Actually it's relatively famous, just not that focused on phones - LG. THe LG BL40 New Chocolate is the bridge between the old Chocolate series and the new one (hence New -.-). It's quite cool, as the aspect ratio is 21:9, a screen ratio that is commonly seen in movie theaters, rarely in TVs, and, obviously, the first of its kind in phones. It's a full touch capacity phone, so it's pretty cool too. (On a random side note, SNSD endorsed this phone apparently.) BL40 New Chocolate: ![]() Haha, fantasies xD If I can get all these phones, I think I'll die of ecstasy xD Back to reality, I think the most affordable ones are the CORBY series, but if you want a bit of flavour, I'd go for Nokia X6 (I intend to do so, anyway). And this ends this random techie-wannabe post xD |
