Tuesday, October 27, 2009 I can't believe I actually found the motivation to blog. Like, seriously. These days, blogging is like just another airy fairy thing. Right, so like, what's there to talk about :O 1. EOYs 2. BSC 3. HiC 4. Debates Chalet & Jackets 5. ProEd Council Woah, quite a fair bit heh, let's just go one by one, according to my mood (no reference to Ris Low, she just happened to be on the same wavelength as I am on now). HiC OMG YES IT'S FINALLY OVER. After DAYS of bitching, becoming annoyed, etc. etc. we've finally come to a splendid close for HiC 2009. Admittedly I was a HORRIBLE (even that is an understatement) OS, but the fact that the OT stuck together to see the event through to the finish, is very much commendable. I would hereby like to thank: 1. TIMO!!!!! (For taking ALLLLLLL the shit and doing it so bloody well) 2. Brion (For being so nice and just...well, being him) 3. Zhi Rong (For not complaining about anything at all and well...coming even though technically he wasn't informed until like, the day before) 4. Edward (Need I say more lol?) 5. Kevin (For taking over people who were SUPPOSED to be stagehands, amidst his own busy schedule) 6. Chen Rui (For taking charge of all the ushering duties so well) Really, without these 6, HiC would be history. I also like to thank the Eden cast~ LeeEnTing|JeungHyoLim|RyanneLeong|WeiYiChen|TommySin|EddyLiang|DarionHotan|Chng LueyChi|DanielLye Thank you all 9 of you for being the greatest cast I've ever worked with :D Presenting to you, for the very last time, the Eden cast: I'm tired...update tomorrow. sin (90 - A) = cos A;
Friday, October 9, 2009 I should really be studying Geog now, but heck, it's the end of the week. Not to mention I'm in school. Sigh. :X Anyway, just read Edward's old post about 2007 chalet. It kinda made me remember the good old times the 6 of us had...I wonder if it'll be any different, after 3 years of knowing each other? I guess I'll never know, since most probably throughout these 3 years we all changed, some adversely, others little. But it's still change, nonetheless. So like, with all these changes, it makes me wonder whether when we get together for chalet, we are still able to relive those memories, or if they'll turn up as simply good ol'things we can hold onto. I don't really know which one I want, but I do know that this year, when we take over, surely the atmosphere will be different. In a good way, I hope. Speaking of chalet, I really should talk to Darion to get it booked soon. If you're reading this Darion, PLEASE ASK DR. MERCER THANKS :D Hope that the chalet can be booked by 15 October...wouldn't be nice if we found out there were no chalets left for us, and that we will have to pay crazy amounts of money just to get one. Ah shucks, memories of those 3 days 2 nights just can't seem to stop coming back now that I've read the post. :X Debate chalet...HiC too...Bridge Competition...I think I'll burn myself out after exams...and be happy about it all (: Or maybe not. I think I'll just die out in the end, heh.

Sunday, October 4, 2009 Well...tomorrow, Doomsday arrives. But before that, some response to Hon's Mousehunt thingum: Ang Jun Hean: Mousehunt is just a lame game with no value whatsoever. I find it ridiculous that people bother to check back such a boring game every 15 minutes, let alone be addicted to such a mundane enterprise. I myself have mousehunt added as an application in my facebook account but I'm proud to say that I have full self-discipline and control and have never wasted my time on such fruitless games. Mousehunt is a game that requires NO MONEY WHATSOEVER to play, as compared to games that money gives one a distinct advantage over other players such maplestory or world of warcraft. Thus, with me included, many of us students with limited funds would find it appealing to play such a game. Yet, I still find mousehunt severely boring and not worth time or money. In conclusion, I would not play mousehunt unless the sky falls down or ronza comes, whichever occurs first. Edward Low: Dear Dr Hon; I've done a HRP which is very closely linked to social networking sites and I am horrified to say that the detriments of social networking sites themselves far exceed that of any computer game. Why else do youths like ourselves go onto social networking sites but to flirt? So that we can post up status messages that say "oh i'm tired" (thinking about it in serious consideration, what practical benefits are there in enlightening all our friends that we are tired except to attention-monger?) Why do people see a need to social network? We're students for God's sake! We ought to do more meaningful things like study...and study. On the bright side, I caught a Centaur mouse, and it dropped a gnarled potion. I am very pleased about this. Shaun Khoo: heh the nolife-ness of hwachongians have manifested in the form of mousehunt. even if you remove mousehunt it will still be channelled elsewhere, just like how the school banned the freedom of accessing all websites on laptops, students found mousehunt! just before mousehunt was the infamous plants vs zombies! by banning one after the other, you're just leading them on to find another source to vent their nolife-ness on. just solve the problem by giving hwachong students a life each, i'm sure they'll appreciate it :) We are all Hwach no-lifers. Cheers. EDIT: This one is really ownage...as in, read the one in brackets. Hon's reply to a smart person :D Mousehunt is a passive game which basically involves clicking a button every 15 minutes. So I don't know why the Sec 1s are so addicted to Mousehunt. I agree with those people who say that the majority shouldn't suffer for the minority's sake. We're supposed to be self-sufficient and at least partially independent. If they want to waste time Mousehunting, it's their problem, they should just be filtered out. LIOW WEI YUAN (3H2) [Remarks: HCI students should not be so selfish. Pls help another when the need arises.] of duodenums and glycerol;
Thursday, October 1, 2009 Today, I let my friend borrow a pen. After class, instead of walking down the hall to return my pen, she threw it over everyone's heads. It hit the tops of the lockers, slid 30 feet, then flew off and right into my hand. I'm glad our ninja training is effective. MLIA |
